Email Lists: The Ultimate Chicken-and-Egg Situation

If you have a big email list, you can easily generate consistent traffic and sales. But here’s the catch—you need traffic first to grow that list. It’s a bit like the chicken and the egg.

But here’s the good news: by focusing on the channels that are already driving traffic, you can grow your list and drive even more traffic. It’s a win-win situation!

The Numbers:

• Month 1: We brought in 1.5k views, which resulted in 397 email subscribers.

• Month 2: We brought in 850 views and 425 new subscribers.

At this point, we’ve added 822 new subscribers.

What Changed in Month 2?

We zeroed in on the channels that had already proven successful in Month 1 and abandoned the ones that were not.

This allowed us to Optimize for Conversion. With that bit of extra time, we ensured that every visitor counted and that traffic didn’t go to waste.

The Result: Even with a 30% decrease in traffic, we captured 28 more emails than the previous month. We were working smarter, not harder.

Our client’s business model depends on her email list—everything we do is geared toward growing that list. And we’re thrilled to add 400+ subscribers to her list every month.

What happened next?

In Month 3, our client introduced a new revenue stream: affiliate marketing.
